In order to begin this course, learners need to have achieved a minimum of 4 GCSEs grade C/3 or above to include English and mathematics.
A 'work hard play hard' ethos is expected of all students and a balanced approach to the sporting/academic demands of the programme is essential.
Our Football Academy is run by a qualified, highly respected and professional coach. We have developed a unique training programme which combines the Football Academy with a diploma in sport and includes specialist advice on nutrition, sports therapy, sports psychology, skills development plus organising and preparing to coach a range of sporting events.
**Dependent upon timetables, the Football Academy may be studied alongside other courses in the college - with the diploma being credited to that specific chosen area.**

There is no specific work experience required or undertaken for this course however, you will obtain the skills and knowledge that you need in order to progress into a career in the football/sports industry.
Upon completion of this course, you have a number of options to choose from. If you wish to continue your studies, this course provides UCAS points which can help with entry to higher education or provide enough on its own depending on the degree/course chosen and institution.
You may also want to go into employment.
