Working in Adult Health & Social Care - Taster Session

The World Health Organisation estimates there will be a healthcare workforce gap of around 14.5 million by 2030. This taster course will give you an introduction to the knowledge and skills needed when working with adults in health and social care environments. Topics that may be covered include:

  • Supporting individuals with their physical and emotional care
  • Daily living needs
  • Health care procedures

This taster is suitable for those already working in care or those who are looking to develop their skills further.

This course is FREE given that the following eligibility is met:

•    You live within the Greater Manchester area
•    You have lived in the UK/EU/EEA for the past 3 years now and/or have a settled status
•    Asylum Seekers must have been in the country for the past 6 months before they are eligible to do this course

Note: If you enrol on further study you may be asked to provide proof of income or benefit.

This course is taught at our Rochdale campus, located in Rochdale Town Centre, Greater Manchester.
