Foundation Degree Sports Coaching
This highly applied course is for students wishing to develop a sound understanding of the key principles underpinning advanced sports coaching and performance analysis.
You will develop the skills required for effective communication, self-development and career progression making you ready for a career in sport, or progression to continuing higher education.
This course is delivered in partnership with the University of Salford who offer a top-up year to convert this course to a full degree. The university is located within easy travel distance to the College with good transport links, making accessing University services and facilities particularly convenient for students studying on our University of Salford provision.

80 UCAS tariff points which should include:
Successful completion of Access to HE
Distinction Merit grades in a Level 3 related subject
GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above
Details
The course is made up of compulsory units, which all students undertake, that enable you to study particular areas in depth.
You’ll be taught via lectures, tutorials, seminars and practical sessions. Assessment methods include reports, essays, exams (anatomy & physiology), presentations, practical assessments in sports coaching.
