Entry Requirements

To take part, you must: 

  • Be employed and aged 19 or over 

  • Be working in a leadership role 

  • Have the autonomy to deliver technological change and inform investment decisions 

Details

This apprenticeship unit is for leaders and senior decision‑makers who: 

  • Set direction within their organisation 

  • Have oversight of how AI is selected, implemented, or governed 

  • Influence or inform investment decisions in technology 

  • Are responsible for ensuring AI is used safely, ethically, and effective

If AI is already part of your organisation, or about to be, this unit supports you to lead that change with clarity and confidence. 

What you’ll develop 

Through this short unit, you’ll build the skills to: 

  • Lead AI‑enabled organisational change aligned to long‑term objectives 

  • Manage the workforce impacts of AI adoption, including reskilling and role redesign 

  • Understand AI’s impact on the wider ecosystem, including suppliers and digitally excluded groups 

  • Implement organisation‑level AI risk management, monitoring, mitigation, and escalation 

  • Achieve audit and regulatory compliance, including incident and security response planning 

  • Monitor AI performance and risks such as bias, drift, and security vulnerabilities 

  • Communicate AI risks and opportunities confidently to non‑technical stakeholders and regulators
