Vacancy for Audit Committee Member
Hopwood Hall College is seeking to appoint a Co-opted member to its Audit Committee.
The Audit committee has a number of responsibilities, but its main purpose is to advise the board on the effectiveness of the college’s audit arrangements and systems of internal control.
The committee has a key role to play in the overall governance of the College’s activities, and must ensure that the information being reported to the Board is accurate and reliable, thus fulfilling a robust and challenging scrutiny role.
The Audit committee:
allows a forum to deal with any fraud or irregularities that arise
We are looking for someone with a background in audit or finance but a suitable mix of skills, knowledge and expertise could include the following:
A key attribute for members of the Audit committee is the willingness to challenge and seek clarification.

There are 4 Committee meetings a year which usually last for 2 hours.
