Sinead Hesp

Sinead is the General Counsel and Director of Legal Services at the University of Manchester, focussing on employment matters and also with a wider involvement including governance matters.

The Directorate provides legal advice on all aspects of the University’s activities, including: Employment/HR; Information Governance; Student matters; Estates; Procurement; IT; State Aid; Transactions; and also provides the secretariat and support to the University’s Board of Governors.

Prior to joining the University, Sinead had over 10 years of experience working as a solicitor with Mills and Reeve, LLP. Sinead is also a Governor at a Primary School and is passionate about the role of education in changing lives and communities.
