Julia Heap

Julia Heap is the Principal and CEO of Hopwood Hall College and University Centre.

At the age of 21, Julia demonstrated the value of retraining when she completed an Accountancy Apprenticeship with Hill’s Panel Products.

She was 24 when she finished her final assessment at Oldham College – just months before she welcomed her first child.

Julia would continue to gain life-changing new skills after joining the Finance Team at Oldham Council, where she studied on day release at Leeds Beckett University.

The next step was Hopwood Hall, where she assumed the role of Vice Principal in 2015 before becoming Principal and CEO in 2019
