Jenny Worsdale

Jenny joined the Corporation Board at Hopwood Hall College on 22 February 2018 and, owing to her background and extensive experience in education and the post-16 sector in particular, Jenny was also appointed as Chair of the Corporation’s Standards Committee.

Jenny holds a BA (Hons) in Mathematics, a PGCE Nursery & First School, MEd Primary Education and MSc Education Management. She has also held a number of Directorships with public sector organisations including serving as Vice Chair on an Academy School Board.

Starting out as a computer programmer, Jenny subsequently became a teacher of Mathematics & Computing before spending twelve years in a Sixth Form College initially as a lecturer in Computing and latterly as Assistant Principal. Following a merger between the then Sixth Form College and a neighbouring College of Further Education, Jenny proceeded to hold senior management positions in the merged College with responsibility for curriculum before being promoted to the role of Deputy Principal and undertaking responsibilities as Acting Principal for some of this period.

Her ambitions for Hopwood Hall College are to provide high quality education for the diverse population the College serves whilst striving always to improve.
