Jason Lancaster

Jason joined the Standards Committee at Hopwood Hall College as a co-opted member in 2022.

He holds a BEng (Hons) and MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering along with a PGCE in Further and Higher Education. He has previously acted as a non-executive director in several charities and provides external support to another further education college in relation to curriculum and standards.

Jason worked as a teacher in engineering and mathematics at a college in the Midlands before progressing to become Head of Faculty. He has since spent 13 years as a self-employed specialist, supporting FE colleges and independent learning providers through interim management and consultancy support. In this time, he undertook a significant role as Vice Principal. He is now Director of the Institute of Technology and Employer Partnerships at an FE college in the Midlands.

Jason is passionate about improving standards in education to enable students to be equipped with the absolute best life chances available to them, regardless of their background.
