Equality & Diversity
Equality and Diversity at Hopwood Hall College is at the heart of everything that we do and is an underlying theme within our strategic directions and values.
We believe that Equality and Diversity is essential to ensuring that we meet the needs of our current and potential students so we can provide services that are accessible and relevant to their needs.
Equality and Diversity Statement
Hopwood Hall College welcomes and celebrates Equality and Diversity. We believe that everyone should be treated equally and fairly regardless of their age, disability, sex, gender identity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy and maternity and socio-economic background. We seek to ensure that no member of the college community receives less favourable treatment on any of these grounds which cannot be shown to be justified.
Through our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy, we will tackle discrimination, promote equality of opportunity and good relations between all people. Hopwood Hall is committed to providing services that promote equality, value diversity and community cohesion and strives to ensure that everyone in our college is treated with respect and dignity.
Our Commitment
We are committed to taking positive steps to help redress the effects of discrimination and disadvantage, ensuring that Equality and Diversity are integral to all our activities and are apart of everything that we do. To demonstrate this commitment, Hopwood Hall College have strategies and actions in place that outline our commitment and targets on how we aim to drive the Equality & Diversity Agenda forward.
