Lewis had already heard about the success of Hopwood Hall College’s Football Academy during his time playing football for local youth teams.
After visiting the College, Lewis was impressed by the academy facilities available and followed up his passion for sport by enrolling on a Level 3 Sports course.
Among Lewis’ highlights at Hopwood Hall College were the numerous residential trips his Sports classes attended, including the educational trip to the Portuguese sports training camp Monte Gordo, studying the diets and training regimes of attending professional athletes.
“I have nothing but happy memories of studying at Hopwood Hall College. The tutors and the other students made sure the college experience was fun but also really valuable, I have grown a lot as a person because of it.
“I learned how important it is to keep on top of your work and manage your load more independently. If you let your work slip, you only make the hill harder to climb for yourself.”
