- Site Control at RRG Toyota
- Level 3 Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Lewis joined the Hopwood Hall College after being impressed by the College’s large garage workshop at an open event and seeing some “really cool” demonstrations from the tutors.
His studies didn’t just teach him the technical skills he would need to work in the motor vehicle industry, it taught him the organisation skills required in a work place and promoted independence as a key skill.
Now working as Site Control at RRG Toyota, Lewis is part of the team responsible for pricing cars, ensuring profit on used cars and sets up plans for car transfers across sites.
“I had a really good time on my course, the practicals were a fun, hands on and work-relevant way to learns and my lecturers put a lot of faith in their students.
“I would go back tomorrow if I could. I would advise anybody looking to study the course to take it seriously. Too many people come to college with their high school head on, but at college you need to be an adult quickly.”
