- PE Teacher at St Anne’s Academy
- National Diploma in sport
Imran first became interested in joining the College when he was looking for an avenue to pursue his passion in football. The success of the college football academy, combined with taster training sessions he took whilst still at school, sealed his decision to join the academy.
Whilst studying at Hopwood Hall, Imran was part of a talented group of students that included fellow Hopwood alumni, Mark Knowles. Staff soon recognised Imran as a student with great potential and excellent leadership qualities.
After studying at Hopwood Hall, Imran went on to earn a degree in Sports Coaching at Edge Hill University, before completing a PGCE at Leeds Beckett University and eventually becoming a full time PE Teacher at St Anne’s Academy.
“I had a great time at Hopwood Hall. The career skills and life lessons I was taught then are what I try to teach my own students now.
“I think my highlight was the year we made it to the ECFA Cup final at Dagenham & Redbridge FC. We had a great group of lads and we all had the best time of our lives. We still meet up now outside of work now.”
