- Prevention and Business Support Assistant at Rochdale Council
- Business Admin Apprenticeship
Hannah started her Business Administration Apprenticeship having previously tried a career in Dental Nursing. Once she realised Dental Nursing wasn’t the right career for her, she instead picked up an apprenticeship to broaden her skillset for a wider range of career opportunities.
Being professionally trained and earning a wage at the same was a method of progression that really suited Hannah. Soon, Hannah would be recognised as one of the college’s top apprentices and was asked to work in both the college’s Student College Services and Marketing departments.
After spending two years at Hopwood Hall College, Hannah secured a Prevention and Business Support Assistant role at Rochdale Council.
“My apprenticeship was a very valuable way of learning. I gained much needed experience and developed a more confident and professional personality.
“I didn’t just sit around doing ad hoc tasks, I was given the opportunity to work in different departments as an equal and apply myself to better my career prospects.
“My apprenticeship gave me the foundations to build a career in so many industries and did so whilst ensuring I also had a wage to live a more independent life.”
