- Finance Assistant at Hopwood Hall College
- Level 3 AAT Accounts Apprenticeship
Georgia initially joined the College on an Accounting course, but she was eager to enter the working world so quickly progressed to a Level 3 Finance Apprenticeship at Hopwood Hall College. Having performed well on her apprenticeship, Georgia was promoted to a permanent position within the College’s Finance team.
Georgia’s apprenticeship taught her how to work within a professional environment and develop good work relationships. In addition to learning from apprenticeship units, Georgia learnt from job related training. Fixed Assets and Credit Control training have been amongst her favourites and have improved her employability.
“Other colleges I looked at only offered basic Accounts qualifications and apprenticeships, whereas Hopwood Hall had the specific AAT qualification, which is much more valuable to somebody looking to become an Accountant.
“If you think you are ready to go into the working world and have good employability skills then go for an apprenticeship. It gives you experience towards employment and more opportunities towards a full time job.”
