After Emma’s sister had already studied at Hopwood Hall College and had a good experience, Emma researched the College’s catering courses and saw that it had some of the best ratings among similar colleges.
During her time at Hopwood Hall College, Emma took part in numerous competitions and won many awards which helped progress her development and ready her for a career in catering.
Emma’s personality developed whilst studying too. Coming to the College with a stutter, she was initially hesitant to speak to people. Now she is “a new woman” and feels confident enough to tell anyone her thoughts and opinions, an important attribute as she now works for celebrity chef, Andrew Nutter, at his award-winning restaurant ‘Nutters’.
“My tutors at Hopwood Hall College were really supportive and a big part of my personal progression. They never gave up on me and helped me understand the importance of getting your head down and enjoying your work.
