- Physical Education Tutor at Middleton Technology School
- Foundation Degree in Sport
After hearing about the unparalleled success of Hopwood Hall College’s Football Academy and seeing the class-leading facilities, Adam decided to study Sport as the first step to becoming a football coach.
Adam credits the College’s Head Coach, Rob Johnson, with teaching him the fundamentals of being a professional. Respect, accountability, punctuality and good morals were all central parts of his course.
As part of the academy, Adam made many friends and revelled in the positive atmosphere his course offered. A personal highlight of his was playing in the team that won the Eindhoven Easter Open Cup, an international cup held in the Netherlands.
Now a PE tutor, Adam runs intervention programmes, improves student engagement and supports PE lessons at Middleton Technology School.
“I find it really rewarding to work with young people. Helping young, ambitious people to reach their aspirations is a very good thing. I hope to one day to progress into full time football coaching.
“My advice to any young people is to work hard and show your commitment. It’s very important to enjoy college, but focus on your goal. Having a goal is half the journey to success.”
