Instalments (2009-2010 policy)
A deposit of £300 must be paid at enrolment followed by the remainder of the course fee by three monthly instalments by direct debit from your bank account. There is an additional administration fee of £25 for payments by this method. Remember to complete the direct debit mandate before coming to enrol.
Please note that outstanding balances or instalments are still payable in full even if you withdraw from the course. Students who have any outstanding debts from the current or previous years will not be able to enrol on any course in 2010-2011.
College refund policy
Refunds will only be given if the college has varied the arrangements in some way – for instance by changing the day, time, venue or syllabus, or if classes have to be cancelled due to lack of student numbers.
Registration fee
From this academic year, and in line with a number of other colleges, Hopwood Hall will be introducing a Registration Fee for all learners. This will be a £10 fee payable which is payable in cash at the first enrolment during an academic year. The registration Fee is to contribute towards such things as the creation and administration of the learner record, the cost of the security activated learner ID badge and registration with examination, assessment or other relevant agencies.
This registration fee applies to all learners* and is payable once per academic year, as the learner record is set up. Therefore if you add to or change your enrolment during the same academic year, you will not have to pay again.
*For learners under the age of 16, this fee is already included in the revised charges payable by their school
