This course prepares students for a range of careers in childcare at supervisory management level and can provide an appropriate pathway for gaining Early Years Teaching Status (EYTS).
The course duration is three years and there are two start dates each academic year:
September 2017: The cost for this course is £4,000 for each academic year (a total of £12,000 for the full duration).
January 2018: There is a £2,000 cost at the start of the course and again at the end for the last semester. The two years in between are £4,000 each.
All students, regardless of their start date, will pay a total of £12,000 for the full duration. Funding support is available from Student Finance.

Candidates must have:
- 2 or more A Levels
- BTEC/Edexcel National Level 3
- Level 3 Diploma for the Children and
- Young People’s Workforce
Mature entrants can apply with no formal qualifications but must demonstrate appropriate experience, motivation and personal qualities with a minimum of three years relevant work experience and completion of a formal literacy diagnostic and comprehension assessment to assess academic capability.
This is a part-time course over three years. A range of methods are used including assignments, projects, case studies and practical exercises in the workplace. A work related, problem-solving, research based approach is also used.
The course is made up of both compulsory units, which all learners undertake, and specialist units that enable you to study particular areas in depth.

Students not currently in employment, but with relevant work experience, will undertake placements during the course.
Accelerated progression onto relevant degree course. Certain universities may give you exemption from units within related degree courses.
