Linda was born and raised in Rochdale and still lives in the town with her husband and two teenage children. After graduating from University, Linda joined a graduate scheme with a large insurance company and over the years has worked in most of the major towns and cities in the North West region. During this time she was lucky enough to be offered some great training opportunities and achieved a number of postgraduate qualifications, including an MBA. Realising her ambition of working for herself in 2003, Linda set up her own business coaching people, running workshops and offering advice and guidance on areas such as leadership and managing change.
Linda says: “I have watched with interest the development of Hopwood Hall College and increasingly felt that I could make a contribution. In my role as a Governor, I hope to make a difference to the young people of Rochdale and to ensure that opportunities are available to them to achieve their full potential. I believe that the combined knowledge and skills of the Governing body are critical to the college’s success, especially in this time of exciting change.”
