Ian Bain joined the college in 2005 working in the Media Department at the Middleton campus. Ian then started coaching football at the Sports Arena where he later began to work full-time as a Fitness Assistant. Ian’s current main role is as IT Learning Zone Supervisor at the Rochdale campus, but he still works at the Sports Arena during weekends and college holidays.
Ian is an IT professional having been employed in numerous computing-related roles in different industries over the last 30 years, and has been programming computers since 1979. This has given Ian the knowledge and experience needed to assist and guide the students and staff using the IT Learning Zone.
Ian has many interests such as developing software, listening to music and growing chilli peppers, but most of his spare time is taken up playing American football with his team up and down the country.
