Huw Morris is Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) and Dean of the College of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Salford. In this role he is responsible for the coordination of all aspects of learning and teaching, including the quality assurance of courses and the development of e-learning. He also oversees the operation of six of the twelve subject based schools at the University.
Huw's academic and professional background is in HR, with degrees from the University of Surrey, the London School of Economics and a doctorate from the Institute of Education, London. He is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Companion of the Association of Business Schools and the Chartered Management Institute.
Before taking on his current role at the University of Salford he has held academic posts at Imperial College, London; Kingston University and the University of the West of England, where he was Associate Dean of the Bristol Business School. Immediately before taking on his current role at the University of Salford he was Dean of the Business School at Manchester Metropolitan University from 2005 to 2010.
