College Facilities
We pride ourselves on having excellent teaching and learning facilities and both Rochdale and Middleton campuses are extremely well equipped.
We have over 1300 PCs, learning resource centres, information centres offering advice and guidance, free college-wide internet access and college email accounts for all students.
- On both campuses you will find a wide range of ‘student essentials’, including shops, cafés and bistros which open before lessons start, with a variety of food and drink available during the day and early evening.
- There is free car parking on both campuses offered on a first-come first-served basis.
- Day nurseries for the children of our students and staff are open during term time and cater for children aged between 3 months and 5 years.
- We have conference and meeting facilities available all year round and residential accommodation for hire outside of term.
It’s not all work!
All full-time students are encouraged to participate in sports and cultural activities as part of their course and to get as much as possible out of their time at Hopwood Hall.
What else can you do?
- You can take part in weekly enrichment activities.
- You can make use of the sports arena on the Middleton Campus. It has the largest sports halls within the area including a fitness suite, Astro Turf pitch and lots more. Student membership is heavily discounted.
- For those of you who like to swim, there are public swimming pools nearby in Rochdale, Castleton and Middleton.

- Pamper yourself at “The Image”, our hairdressing and beauty training salon based on Rochdale campus. The salon offers a wide range of professional treatments to students, staff and the general public, in a salon environment but at heavily discounted prices!
- Sample the excellent menu at “The Cottons”, our training restaurant on the Rochdale campus. Here you can enjoy food freshly prepared by our talented catering students and attend one of the themed evenings with culinary delights from around the world.
